The preliminary drawings and interior design were developed by Alberto Moreno Arquitectura Comercial studio in Colombia. Mans Architecture developed construction documents consistent with the provided drawings and ensured local code compliance.
Santiago Supermarket expanded its footprint to two adjacent tenant spaces. The retail area was increased, a restaurant was added and overall layout modified.
The project included the following:
- Evaluation of the project program
- Review the existing conditions and the proposed scope of work with the owner and the consultants
- Code review
- Submission for permit
The biggest challenge was the owner’s schedule. The objective was to start construction as soon as the owner took possession of the adjacent tenant spaces. Construction is ongoing.
